#CorkLovesMusic is a newly-formed co-operative of music and media professionals, formed after TEDx CorkSalon’s CorkLovesMusic event in September 2016.

Working in collaboration with bodies like First Music Contact, Coughlan’s Live, The Village Hall and Cork Midsummer Festival, the aim is to open up new conversations in and around Cork’s resurgent music community.

At present, the group produces and promotes a series of events based around live talks from local & national music professionals, as well as performances from Cork’s artists. Speakers to have appeared so far include Colm O’Sullivan (TodayFM, 96FM, RedFM), Angela Dorgan (Hard Working Class Heroes, Music Ireland), Joe Kelly (The Pavilion, Live at St. Luke’s), Ellie O’Byrne (Irish Examiner), Ian Ring (Feel Good Lost), The G-Man and more.

Embedded: playlists of talks and musical performances from the first three #CorkLovesMusic events, filmed in early 2017. Also below is photography of our debut event in February, taking place in Coughlan’s Live. Pics: Aisling Byrne.
